Hummingbird Stories
What good little friends!
My husband, Dallas, spends many hours on our breezeway watching the hummingbirds enjoy our feeders. One day this summer, much to his surprise, one approached him and hovered very close to his face.
Surprised to say the least, he investigated and found that the feeder was empty and apparently the hummer was reminding him to replenish the nectar!
Then, just after Labor Day, again a hummingbird came and hovered within arm’s length of his face. This time the feeder did not need refilling; but the following day they were gone.
We believe this little bird had stopped by to say, “Thanks for the nectar. Bye. See you next year.”
What good little friends!
